POST WIDELY: Dean Position Open, Liberal Arts and Sciences, Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, NYC
So it seems that our much beloved Dean is planning to step down for the best of reasons – after over 10 years as our Dean, and at least as much as Dean of Eugene Lang College, she has decided that she will take a year of leave, and return as faculty, because she misses the classroom and wants to teach again. She’s been an amazing boss, and while I’m thrilled I’ll be able to see her more, she’ll be very hard to replace.
I’ve been informed to post widely our search for a new Dean. If you know anyone who is a senior scholar with administrative experience, and who may want to live in New York City (and Brooklyn at that, which in my opinion, is the best part of NYC!), please forward them this information.
And if you or they have any questions, please feel free to contact me personally at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Ok, thanks everyone, and feel free to forward this to any and all. Best wishes!
